As ever, I was treated to some wonderful moments underwater including photographing the annual Port Jackson shark aggregation at North Rock and Boondelbah Island, Eastern Blue Devilfish at Looking Glass Island, a Many-host Ghostgoby in the shallows of Cabbage Tree Island, Grey Nurse sharks at North Rock, an Eastern Shovelnose ray at Boondelbah Island and Australian Fur seals at Cabbage Tree Island. At least I think that they were all Australian Fur seals - I struggle to distinguish them from New Zealand Fur seals.
All in all, I enjoyed 26 boat dives with Nelson Bay’s two dive centres, Feet First and Lets Go Adventures. As ever I had great company below the water, diving with Feet First’s Jacson Warner and Trudie Blackett and Lets Go Adventures’ Dan Gambrill, Mick Todd and Paul Dupreez and my good friends, from Vancouver, Natalie Scadden and from Sydney Darren Gouge and Rob Jarvis. And great company above the water with skippers Steve Hunter of Feet First and Rob Stewart of Lets Go Adventures as well as photography guru Wayne Booker from Tuncurry.
